It has been said that it is such a beautiful jet that it must have been designed by an artist. Nicknamed “Viper” it entered service in the Belgian Air Force in 1975. Of the 160 originally delivered aircraft only 72 were upgraded to MLU standards (Midlife UpDate) and are planned to serve at least until 2015.
Dimitri became a F-16 admirer from the moment he first saw the sexy tricolor prototype flown by test pilot Neil Anderson at the Beauvechain air show in 1975. It has always been his favorite fighter jet so he had to draw it.
