About this Work
Since its introduction in the Belgian army in 1959 the Alouette II has been the ultimate little rotary workhorse of the Light Aviation.More info »
It also gained international fame while been flown by the Belgian army display team “Blue Bees” in the sixties and seventies. The Belgian army operated two types of Alouette II ; those with the older Artouste turbine engine and those with the Astazou powerplant. Nine “Astazous” are still flying at the Wing Heli as liaison helicopters.Their retirement is planned between 2008 and 2011.
After the success of the A-109BA drawing it was rather logic that there was a lot of demand for a similar Alouette II drawing.
